EXPO LINE SERVICE ALERT Feb 10th-12th

Expo Line Maintenance This Weekend

Beginning Friday (2/10) at 9:00 PM, through close of service on Sunday (2/12), there will be no train service to the following Metro Expo Line stations,

  • Palms
  • Westwood/Rancho Park
  • Expo/Sepulveda

— in order for crews to begin one-year warranty repairs and upgrades. This will be the first of two weekends in February that work will be conducted on stretches of the Expo Line.

While this weekend’s work is in effect, local and express Metro Bus shuttles will replace train service between Culver City and Expo/Bundy Station. This means all westbound trains will stop at Culver City and turn back towards downtown Los Angeles. Metro shuttles will be available at Culver City for continued westbound service. Trains from Santa Monica will travel as far as Expo/Bundy Station. From there, customers may board shuttles for continued eastbound service. Shuttle service is free if transferring from the Expo Line.

Expo Line trains are slated to arrive every 12 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes at night throughout the weekend. Bus shuttles will match Expo Line service levels as best as possible. However, trips are expected to take about 20 minutes longer than usual, so please allow extra time and plan accordingly.

On Friday, Feb. 10, the last complete eastbound trips depart Santa Monica at approximately: 7:42 p.m., 7:56, 8:08, 8:21 and 8:36. The last complete westbound trips depart 7th/Metro at approximately: 7:55 p.m., 8:01, 8:07, 8:13 and 8:19. All times are subject to work related delays.

Finally, Metro is thanking customers for their patience and understanding as they get this weekend’s work completed. These repairs and upgrades will result in safer and more reliable Expo Line service.
