Expo Line to Santa Monica
Fact Sheet

project overview
Metro’s Expo Line to Santa Monica opens on May 20th, with seven new stations and 6.6 miles of rail. The $1.5 billion light rail to the Paci c Ocean extends from the existing Expo Line Culver City station to Downtown Santa Monica station, linking Westside neighborhoods and expanding the Metro Rail system to over 100 miles. Connecting Downtown LA to Downtown Santa Monica, the Expo Line is sustainable, cost effective, and a great alternative to the gridlock on the I-10 freeway.
